Before I continue with the review I want to clarify something: after reviewing a game I give a rating which instead of stars its controllers, so 3 dark controllers and 2 grey controllers is 3 out of 5 stars (for example).
Buy the game here This thrilling, mildly scary survival game, got everyone excited for it before it came out, although the game concept is very fun when things run smoothly, the launch was one of the worst in Steam game history. Sure the game is fun, and addictive, running away from all kinds of different Jasons is a good time, and great for bonding with friends. However, there are some really bad, obvious bugs that were promised to be ironed out after the initial launch that actually never got fixed. Many angry reviewers blame the devs for being so bad at fixing their game, one reviewer said "One of the worst dev team in history. " Another said: "Playing the game with no issues. Actually one of the people who liked it. Got into a game with some girls who were protecting jason because they were his friend. They kept team killing people and being jerks. I called them out on it and they got mad that I was calling them out on their crappy behaviour. They threatened me by saying they knew the devs and would get me banned. I said fine I don't care stop being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s. The next morning I woke up to a big fat permanent game ban. Nice to see how the devs handle their games community." I had a lot of fun playing the game and I'd recommend it if the price weren't so high, if it were 10-15 bucks, I would say sure, go for it! BUT unless you're fine with the minor bugs (doors not opening, not being able to go inside the closet, etc) or the tremendously embarrassing (for the uncaring and negligent dev team) huge bugs, for example: Often, Jason clips into the ground and "dies" super early on in the game, or sometimes important items (car keys, car battery, etc) would clip into the ground, making them unattainable for everyone, which makes the counselor's job to survive so much harder. What pisses me off the most though, is that the dev team is so uncaring and selfish when it comes to benefiting the game and explaining and apologizing to the massive community of outraged players. The devs are known to ban randomly for no reason quite a bit. If you manage to get into a game when the servers aren't broken (which is 30% of the time) and there's no bugs, and everything runs smoothly, and the players act nicely and play fair game, you can have A LOT of fun! However, it's rare that you come along such a heavenly game, if you think about that, it's quite sad. If you have 40 bucks and have nothing else to spend money on then yeah buy it, but don't expect the best game experience 40 bucks can buy. Taking all that into account I give the game:
